About SmorgyMusic
SmorgyMusic is the culmination of a lifetime immersed in live music.
Born and raised in Napa, California, Smorgy’s musical journey eventually took him across the country for nearly three decades before bringing him home in 2006. During 18 influential years in Fresno, he honed his craft in the live music circuit, fronting original projects and performing in two highly successful 1960s tribute bands. One of those bands earned the rare distinction of opening for legendary acts including The Turtles, Paul Revere & the Raiders, The Buckinghams, The Association, the Spencer Davis Group, Eric Burdon, Rare Earth, and Herman’s Hermits — experiences that shaped both his musicianship and his deep respect for timeless songs.
Beyond the stage lights at home, Smorgy has carried his guitar through Europe, the UK, the Caribbean and Central America, discovering firsthand that music truly transcends language and culture. Those travels — and the extraordinary people met along the way — continue to influence the warmth and connection he brings to every performance.
Now rooted once again in Napa, Smorgy is proud to call the region home while performing throughout Napa Valley, Mendocino, the Oregon Coast, Central Oregon and Baja California. Whether performing solo or as the SmorgyMusic Guitar Duo, his shows are crafted to create an inviting atmosphere — engaging, familiar and memorable — perfectly suited for wineries, restaurants, resorts and special events.
